Continuing the theme of contemporary pictures where they are available, this is me! Aged 2 in September 1965 with my truly magnificent Triang Truck. This is the whole image area, I resisted the temptation to crop the image.

A slightly cropped image from the Bantam Colorsnap, taken in August 1961. It's a basic camera to say the least, but capable of pretty good results, it must be - you can see the time on the original, its 4:45. Actually, this is quite an achievement, as the break off on the self energising shutter is quite harsh. It is now a little poignant to know that both the vibrant people in the picture are no longer with us.
