This camera was a small enhancement over the No.1 in
the collection by virtue of the pressed metal body which made the camera
a little more compact. Photographically there is no improvement between
our two examples - as both use the same type of ball bearing shutter
and Bausch and lombe Rapid Rectilinear lens. These photographs were taken
in the mid 1940s, not by our camera but by an identical model, by which
time it was already 20 years old. This photograph and the one below are
from a forthcoming book by Gerald Ponting and are reproduced here with
his permission.
