Ricoh Auto Half EF2, 35mm half frame camera, c1979

A delightful all metal gem from the Japanese manufacturer Ricoh. Fully automatic exposure control varies aperture, the selenium sensor for which surrounds the fixed focus lens. The short focal length ensures a reasonable depth of field. The camera is fitted with an internal pop up flash that takes standard AA sized batteries and a mechanical delayed release. The nicest feature of all though is the spring powered wind on mechanism that advances the next frame after each exposure. The spring frame advance only works with a film in the camera. Being all metal it has a good quality feel to it and since it's half frame it will give you over 70 frames per roll, very handy! Donated to the collection August 2004 by Mr E. Pheby.
